GIS BRASIL |

GIS BRASIL was the first and the biggest event of the geotechnology market of Latin America, whose misson was to companies and potencial users to the knowledge spreading, ideas exchange, qualification and networking.
Promoted and organized by FatorGis, the event was realized at Curitiba, Salvador and São Paulo, congregating about 4000 professionals in each one of its 10 editions.
GIS BRASIL always had the support of the main brazilian institutes involved with geotechnology, like IBGE, Brazilian Space Agency, Embrapa, IBAMA, INPE, INCRA,
Universities, Institutes and others organizations like these.
The event was compaund by several simultaneous activities shared between Congress, Courses, Geotechnology Fair, Geo for Everyone and Scientific Talent Show.
CONGRESS
Presented through lectures, international conferences, national foruns and tutorials, aiming the technological immersion, informations interchange and trainning.
COURSES
The courses offered by GIS BRASIL always attracted the public for its quality in the themes and by the high qualification of the instructors. GIS BRASIL, along its 10 years, trained about 6500 professionals and contributed to the improvement of the geotechnology market.
GEOTECHNOLOGIC FAIR
New productos, global tendences in software development, hardware and sollutions in geotechnologies are present at Geotechnologic Fair of GIS BRASIL. Both national and international companies have here the biggest exposure of the sector, to a qualified public lookinf for informations and businesses.
GEO FOR EVERYONE
Being a free lectures series, exposing new conceps and geotechnological aplications. The focus is the public not yet familiarized with the geotechnologies but has interest on knowing the basics and main aplications.
SCIENTIFIC TALENT SHOW
The Scientific Talent Show is an FATOR GIS initiative, and has the goal of to promote the scientific development applied to geotechnologies in Brazil.
The speechers, deriving from universites, research centers and companies, show academic jobs themed about geotecnologies and they runs for the GIS BRASIL Prize of Incentive: from Research to the Pratice, the fist national incentive in the area of geotechnologies, through money awardings.
The Scientific Talent Show has the seal of UFPR, through the Geomatic Department and in 2004, Petrobras also were as sponsor.
